Name Change Question..please HELP!!

I am soooooooooooo confused!  I am filing my I-130 next week and I am getting conflicting information.  I have not yet changed my last name yet (I am the petitioner) but plan on doing so in the next month or so on everything.  I am confused because I am not sure what name to put on the I-130....my maiden name or my married name?  I am asking because I am being told that the marriage certificate is the legal document showing my name change (even though I have not changed my DL etc yet) and then some people are saying to file using my maiden name since legally I have not changed my DL etc yet.  

 

If i use my maiden name to file then change it a month or so from now will that cause any issues with my filing?  I am soooooo confused!

You can start using your married name in the petition, may be even recommended to do it now if you plan to do that anyway. You can change the name on other documents like DL slowly.

Spouse:

2015-06-16: I-130 Sent

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-05: Received IV invoice, IV Fee Paid

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

2016-08-08: Case Complete

2017-06-30: Interview, approved

2017-07-04: Visa in hand

2017-08-01: Entry to US

So it will be fine if my passport still has my maiden name? I am just not wanting to get RFE!

Yes, a copy of your marriage certificate is the evidence if name change.
