I had my interview at Lagos consulate and i was placed on administrative review , asked the CO how long it’s going to take but he told me I do not have to do anything but wait .. I answered every question he asked me smoothly and my evidence was bonafide and good but the center of attraction was my wife speaks Spanish and English very well but writes Spanish more as her English isn’t too good in writing so I use translator to translate everything . He gave me back my passport but kept all my original documents and all my evidence too and gave me a paper ticking admin processing .. Should I be worried or is there anything I can do ?

Nothing you can do but wait.  Administrative Processing is normal and required for all cases.  In addition, Nigeria will affected by the travel ban expansion unless it is lifted.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Generally not keeping the passport is a sign that they don't expect the visa to be issued in the immediate future.

The 221(g)  means they need to do more work on their side - document verification, background checks, supervisor review, etc. before they can decide if you are eligible for the visa or not.

When they are ready to issue the visa, they will request the passport so they can issue and affix the visa.

Hopefully that happens before the 24th. Although it seems pretty unlikely IMO.
