Diana

Thanks for asking Diana.

I called last week..just got the same answer...its in process. I'm also part of the "FEB FILERS" in AOS Forum and there are about 6 of us out of 30ish that have NO TOUCHES, NO APPT, NO NOTHING since EAD. You know, for us, this is a good thing in part because once Oscar gets the GC it will be a 10 year permanent residence and this time next year he will qualify for USC status. (I'm looking for the silver lining) We are 'thinking' about it daily, but its not worring us yet, as long as we're not alone in the process. I haven't gotten and RFE (EVER!!!), so our paperwork is ok, its probably just hung up in the line! I'll keep you posted.

Yikes... who can confirm that they'll need to get pricked more?

Well this is the official notification from USCIS regarding these vaccinations.

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

So it is required to get them if they are "age appropriate".

Now, I'm thinking the best thing would be to get them all done in Colombia before the medical so either doctor can approve them and not have to pay for them once they get here. Does this make sense?

So from now on people who have upcoming interviews at the embassy should get the following shots:

TD

MMR

Varicella

Plus the new ones depending on age and gender:

Rotavirus

Hepatitis A

Meningococcal

Human papillomavirus

Zoster

Does it sound right to you guys?

You are stating Oscar gets the GC it will be a 10 year permanent residence and this time next year he will qualify for USC status.

If I am not mistaken he needs to be an LPR for 3 years on top of the fact that your are married for 3 years. The instructions state Must be one of the following : " A Lawful Permanent Resident for at least three years and at least 18 years old, "

and then it states and

" You have been married to and living with the same U.S. citizen for the last three years,

AND

Your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last three years. "

WOW...that's a lot of pricks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could say something about that, but..........we're still pending our AOS interview on Thursday.

Since we got this info about the new vaccination requirements so late in the game, we'll wait and let the folks at the KC USCIS office tell us what we need and get them after the interview. If I'm reading the age requirements correctly, it looks like the only necessary shots for Lorena and the boys are the Hep A series. (F)
