Some movement on our application today. Just got notice that the boys (ages 12 and 5) can finally go out and look for work!!!! HAHAHA.... Seriously, their EADs were approved and "cards have been ordered". What this really means is that we can now get social security cards for them. One step closer!

I apologize for not including you in the "soon" catagory! for some reason I thought you had already received your AOS! As for the EAD for the kids, yeah it is crazy, we had to get one for Sandy's 18 month old, for the same reason, SSN

Not a problem. It is kind of funny how we all get to live vicariously through the successes of others on here. Just waiting to add our own little success story to the long list on VJ. ..... someday soon, I hope.

Hello all. I am wondering what your thought are about my current situation are. We applied for AOS at the begging of February and got the NOA February 15, and the EA at the beginning of may. I just checked the UCIS processing times and its says that they are working on the AOS applications received on April 4th. So I called them but I did not get to speak to a human been (I followed the instructions for case status), do you know which option of he menu, should I chose? Probably I am overacting but I finally got a great employment opportunity and they prefer for me to have the GC TNKS

Unless things changed recently, when calling USCIS, don't press anything on the menu. If you wait patiently, your call will be automatically forwarded to a live person. As for the green card, you can work legally in this country with only the EAD. An employer may prefer for you to have the green card, but it is not required by law.

Tnks for the advice, I used theoption request for evidence unfortunatly they didnt give me any info... I guess I have to wait a couple o weeks.
