5 to 7 months for the AP/EAD

Hi, thank you! Iam asking because my ssiter's wedding will be on April 20th. Is there any wait to ask for expedite my process? At least the Advance Parole.

Thank you

Hi,

its due my sister's wedding! Do you think it is possible to expedite for this case?

Hmmmm, it’s totally up to them. I mean, it’s worth a try (if you don’t ask you don’t get). Mine was due to my children’s father suffering a severe stroke. Doesn’t mean you don’t have a valid case. Like I said, try! Also, let me know the outcome. Fingers crossed for you. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I'd be lying if I said I never hard of somebody getting an expedite for a wedding.

But it would be a long shot for sure. That's not an emergency.

Only thing you can do is request it and hope.

Honestly, out of desperation I just visited my local USCIS office. Apparently that’s a ‘no-no’ as you are supposed to have an appointment but it was such an emergency and I didn’t know where to turn. I had no luck getting any info on the web (every case is unique and I literally had NO time to formally apply). Also, I tried to reach out on this site and everyone was like ‘don’t even bother’. I’m glad I took that with a grain of salt and figured it out for myself. Sounds like you have some time, I would call USCIS and book an appt. I have a feeling that the only reason I got in without an appointment is because I probably looked desperate as hell.

let me know if you have any other questions.

Can't tell by your timeline but if you are not married you can return to Brazil and ask to have your K1 Visa revalidated.   You would still have to marry by the origianl expiration date.
