Are you claiming the UK Daily Mail is a right wing media source?

Yes, it is. Are there outlets that are further right, sure. But in the UK everyone knows where the Mail's sympathies lie.

Might be Right Wong relative to UK politics, but their reporting of US politics seems more centrist.

Talking of which....

Any way this story is all over the media.

There is a difference or was between the printed and on line versions.

Well, I don't agree. But that's fine, we can disagree without being disagreeable. :) As Boiler will tell you, it's mostly good for keeping up to date with the minutiae of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lives. :P

And of course there is no printed US version that we could compare the online version to. The UK version online (I do read it as a counterpoint to coverage in the Guardian -- important to get multiple points of view) is very much in the pocket of the Tories. Al can't stand the thing and says it's trash, which it is, but it's eminently readable trash quite frequently, much in the same way that the Guardian is the Thinking Man's Trash. :P I remember first hearing the phrase "Thinking Man's Crumpet" over there in the first few months I was there and having zero idea about what any of that meant. I can't even remember who it was said about!

Well I did not buy the DM but I would sometimes see it and obviously that has been some time. I have thought that their online version is skewed to a different audience, seems more a news aggregater for many stories especially those stories with a US bias rather than re written in the DM style.

By the way, I found an excellent DM article for you. I'll post later.

who do you guys think would be the hardest for trump to beat?

Just my 2c, but if there is a Democrat who can get people to turn out like Obama did, it might be a race. I'm not sure that person exists ATM though. Bloomberg has a chance, but he is not really going to get anyone excited. I don't think Bernie has a large enough base to pull it off, and I don't think he pulls in enough support when other candidates drop out. I think Democrats may stay home again if Biden wins too. Warren is going in the wrong direction and Butt is trending up, but they both seem like long shots right now.

A lot hinges on whether the Democrats come together after the primaries, or if they self destruct again. It's hard to predict that part. I really didn't think  the Republican party hierarchy would give Trump the support they did in 2016 after he made fools of so many of them in the primaries, but I think they realized there were bigger issues at hand.

yeah, im curious who trump truly wants to run against. He made comments that it wasnt bernie (private call) and said at least bernie has real followers instead of bloomberg, he said he would love to go against bloomberg, and he calls biden sleepy joe + all the alleged ukraine stuff. I think he would love to run against anyone except bernie to be honest, even though the DNC media makes it sound like bernie is his favorite.

I think it will be hard for any candidate to beat him personally, especially all the in fighting at the dnc

Well, the man is not really what I call a rational actor, he was mystified why he couldn't win in NY and California,

but this may be what his advisors are telling him:

You cannot beat Joe in Penn or Minn.

You are iffy with Joe in WI, MI and possibly all other purple states, you will not repeat 2016.

With Bernie we can take Penn and Definitely WI with the Communist label.

Bloomberg? No way he wants to run  against that money.

The biggest issue Bloomberg will have is from within, a Billionaire  Republican

with some very dodgy non progressive views.

And over racism.

I don't think you can be over-racist which sounds like there is an acceptable degree of racist. Any degree of racist is unacceptable. I mean, I can't even think of a place where being under-racist is acceptable because no-racist should be the default setting.
