Hi everyone,

just wondering i have sent back my checklist, forms 156 and 230 part 1 to montreal. How long does it take to get interview because my concern is my passport expires feb 16th. i know that immigration want the PP valid for 6 months from time of interview.

does anyone know what my chances are in getting interview this quick. my receipt notice was jan 23. all i am waiting on now is package 4 with interview date.......................AND hoping it is in july.

please someone give me info on this.......................thanks.....................marylou

I don't know what your "receipt notice date" means. Is this when Montreal received your application? Is this when you sent your papers back from package 3? You should probably head over to the Canada Forum here. There is a thread on those waiting for interview in Montreal and they are horribly backlogged. I don't know where you got your information about a July interview date. I know some people have been waiting five to seven months for an interview in Montreal.

Even if your interview was in July, with a passport expiry of Feb., that would be just sitting at the 6 month mark as it is! With waits of passports in Canada, I might be thinking of applying for a renew right now.
