Hello I received a mail by the nvc that my interview is scheduled for 5th of March.

So I followed the 1 step to register

(Ais us visa info. Com)

Eventually I received a confirmation code.

But what do I need to expect after registration? I didn't really get why do I need to register. Will I receive other kind of letter or will they change my interview dates?

Also they ask to bring  the interview confirmation letter but it doesn't look like an official one 😔😔😔

I feel a bit lost here.

I booked my doctor's appointment already

Thank you

Follow the instructions on the ASC website where you registered.  ASC website is to enter your information for sending the passport after the visa is approved, some countries have different options for courier service to your residence, or you can pick up the passport, so hopefully you did that when you registered on the ASC site.  The other reason you register on ASC is so they have your information in their system for the biometrics appointment which needs to be done before your visa interview at the consulate, normally a day or two before the interview, but this varies by country, as sometimes there are multiple ASC offices you can choose from depending on where you live.  You also schedule the biometrics appointment on the ASC website.  Good luck!

Well  I will have to pick up my passport from the embassy coz am not a South African resident & I will need my passport to go back to mauritius.

One of my friend told me they send a letter after 4days of registration & you have to upload more additional documents to nvc

Is that correct

What's the ASC?

I register on this https://ais.usvisa-info.com/

All this is so confusing 😭😭😭

Yes, ASC is where you already registered, ais.usvisa-info.  You have an interview scheduled, so you are done with NVC, your file is now in the hands of the DOS for your visa interview in March.  As I said earlier, on the ASC website you register, select delivery method for your passport (you said pick up so you've done that), and set an appointment for biometrics at one of the locations, presumably South Africa, a day or two before your interview.  Then you travel from Mauritius to South Africa for your medical and ASC biometrics appointments, go to your visa interview at the US consulate, and assuming you are approved, wait for your passport with the visa in it to be ready so you can pick it up, this may take a week or longer depending on the country and how the interview goes.  They may ask for more documents, etc.  Make sure you take all documents listed on the South Africa consulate's website with you, check the list twice to be certain you have everything with you like originals of civil documents, I-864 with supporting financial documents, etc.  Then once your passport is ready with the visa, you pick it up and go back to Mauritius, then settle your affairs and pack up and move to the USA.  I wish you the very best in your process and hope that all goes well!
