Freaking out about my US fiance's employment status

We haven't started the process yet, but we're reading up on everything first. My US fiance (I'm a UK citizen) is a college student and is working full-time right now, as it's the summer, but will be working part-time again once school starts. If his parents agree to co-sponsor me, will his part-time status matter?

I intend to work once in the US, and have around $7,000 in savings, but will Immigration look at the fact that he's a part-time employed student and immediately think 'That's not good enough', even if we have a co-sponsor/s?

As long as you have a co sponsor and they make above 125% poverty guideline you are good to go and they don't care about your income or your savings.

good luck

One sponsor needs to meet the requirements. A co-sponsor will suffice just fine.

My friend's sister met her African fiance while duing humanitarian work. The decided to move back to America. She had NO job at all and not a penny to her name. Her parents co-sponsored the fiance and there were no problems. That's why you get a co-sponsor, so someone has the money to sign those documents. You won't get dinged for the USC making not so much money. There are lots of students/part-time students in the same situation.

Oh, thank you so much! I read about someone who's application was denied because although they had two co-signers, their US fiance was claiming government benefits and had no intention of working. Although that certainly isn't our case, I was terrified that the fact he's still a student would have some kind of big detrimental effect.

Whew!

From what I've read, I believe on the Manila embassy website, Manila does not allow co-sponsors or assets for a FIANCEE visa. If I'm wrong and someone knows the truth, please correct me.
