CR-1 is an immigrant visa that generates a green card as soon as arriving in the USA, K-3 is an added step to the CR-1 visa a bit quicker like K-1.

K-3 is a non-immigrant visa that allows those married to either wait in the USA for CR-1 to complete or just do AOS for the green card in the USA.

SEE: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=compare in the guides it explains the differences of the options.

If your husband still is a Resident of your home country you said resident cert, you may want to check out DCF and see if that is an option there, your husband will file the I-130 (CR-1) directly at the US Consulate there, can take much less time.

Check with the consulate there to see if this an option.

http://singapore.usembassy.gov/general_information2.html (Says I-130 filings on Tuesdays and Thursdays) So you may be able to DCF and file for the CR-1 at the Embassy there.

I highly recomend DCF much quicker that all other visas.

Good luck to you.
