I-130 Income Requirement

I have been reading that at the NVC stage, I would need 3 years of tax transcripts (2017, 2018, 2019). So for 2017, I was previously married and we had filed jointly. I was in graduate school so my income was very nominal. For 2018, I filed single and I was still in graduate school so my income was still very low. Now for my 2019 taxes, I worked abroad for over a year so as far as my understanding, this income does not count. 

 

We are submitting our I-130 online today so it is still in its very early stages, but because my income is our biggest hurdle, I want to be fully prepared. At this point, I have no one to joint sponsor us. No family or friends are willing. I recently arrived back to the US to try to earn US income to meet the requirements. Can I use a job offer with salary details as well as pay stubs for this stage ? Or will I definitely need a joint sponsor because of my past income? Between December and now, I have put up over 100 job applications. Now that I am stateside, I am hoping something comes up so I can be with my husband again. The reason we are moving to the US is because I have an ongoing health issue that the doctors abroad are not well versed in, so I need to be with my US doctors. Our entire situation sucks. Our only options are to be together and ignore my health which due to my reoccurence rate, getting a residency in my husband's country is not a gurantee, or try to make this visa work without a joint sponsor and hoping I can get a job with health insurance before the NCV stage.

Thanks.  NZ isnt a high fraud country so your current income will be what counts. Dont even worry about the previous years too much! You wont likely see the visa interview until 2021.
