If your interview is in Montreal whether applying for a K3 or K1 the consulate will require the orignal approval notice which for your case is the K1 I-129 approval form plus all COPIES of what you had to send to apply for the I-129.

How come my packet 3 never mentioned anything of the sort? Don't they ALREADY HAVE the I-129F stuff?

No it doesn't say to bring any of those just the letter for interview $100, a recent letter of intent of marriage and the documentation they requested in checklist

The I-129F packet and other documents is simply CYA in the very unlikely situation that they will ask for something out of the blue. Most will find that none of that documentation is ever requested.

hi ya

when we did our interview in australia .. i didnt have to take my copy of my pettition to the interview...they have the original sent over by NVC...

i would go by the checklist the embassey sent you..the NOA2 is the one you have to take with you (the approval notice I-797) Allie.. not long now for your interview mate good luck...

hope you dont mind me putting my two bobs worth in...

REMOVING CONDITIONS

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..
