Sometimes if a diver comes up too quickly they get a condition called the benz.

Anyhoo that Helnan Palestine.........waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outta our price range. lol. He called and asked what the rate is for HIM, and Egyptian and they quoted him $250/night. Granted that would be cheap for like Boston or NYC but we're talkin' Egypt here.

So......I found a flat that I LOVE here: http://www.perfectplaces.com/vacation-rentals/28646.htm and it's only about $550 for the entire week. The woman who owns it seems pretty nice from her emails. Usama said two of his friends are intent on finding us a place but I like seeing something before renting, you know? I know normally one goes down the streets and just asks about flats, etc. but I'm just not cool with site unseen.

anyhoo it has 3 bedrooms so his sisters could stay with us (and cook mashi and koshari and tons of other awesome food since they're like the BEST cooks in the world ). That way I can spend time with everyone since it doesn't seem fair that I will hardly ever spend time with such beautiful women inside and out, you know? I really wish they could come here with him but that would take a good 10 years or so from what I hear. They're the sweetest women on the planet.

1-too expensive

and

2-doesn't want his sisters coming with us. "I see you for 7 days and you want my sisters with us???? as you wish"

btw "as you wish" means "I really don't want to do this" in egyptian man talk. lol

So I talked him into letting me get the flat but now another hurdle...I asked for 1) an address of the flat and 2) references.

No references, though she gave me a website that she's on with her picture and no address...she said she's asked for an address but never got one............and she owns the place? How does one own property and not have an address...wouldn't it be on the deed?

Something smells fishy so I guess it's back to the drawing board which sucks 'cause I was psyched that I talked him into it.
