Hi all,

Well, the NVC process has changed quite a bit since I sponsored my husband 4 years ago! I have a question about supporting income information with the I-864a. I did search but it seems that most questions about this relate to joint sponsors who need their own supporting documentation.

My husband is sponsoring his parents. We completed the I-864 and uploaded it. We also uploaded our 2017 & 2018 tax transcripts and our 2019 complete 1040 with all W-2s and other tax forms we used. We just completed them this weekend so transcripts won't be available for some time although we plan on sending it to his parents once we get it so they will have it at their interview. We filed jointly.

My husband makes enough to sponsor them both on his own but since we filed jointly, and with the increased scrutiny for public charge, I figured I should include my income also. I then added myself as a household member and it requested the I-864a, my citizenship verification, and domicile verification. I uploaded all those. It did not specifically request tax or income verification as it did with the I-864 so I am unsure if I need to include those separately or if the submission with the I-864 is all that's needed.

Anybody else have a similar situation? What did you do?

Thanks!
