certify vs. notarize ?

My brother is helping me co-sponsor and will be sending me some very important documents tommorrow (taxes, proof of ownership of his properties, certificate of naturalization). I read that you have to certify these documents. Will getting to the local grocery store and get it notarize work ? Or is there some other places i need to go ?

where does it say that these documents need to be certified?? the I-134 must be notarized and submitted with supporting documentation.

A lawyer signed my I-34 Support. It does not have the stamp since attorneys are not required. It will be reviewed at the London embassy. Should I have it stamped?

Notarization can only be done by eigther a notary public or at the bank for instance.

Did he sign it to show he helped prepare it? As I understood it, you must have it notarized by someone recognized as a notary - they have an official stamp and everything (Do you have a flag? NO??).

Banks will have one and will usually do it for free and often you have one at your place of employment as businesses frequently need one - i'd ask around work or head to your bank. The only thing that needs to be notarized is the actual I-134, the evidence along with it (tax returns, employment letters, pay stubs) doesn't.
