It clearly isn't. Just because your job might be suffering doesn't mean everyone else's in your industry is. The fallacious reasoning here doesn't need much expansion.

It's not my job that's suffering. It's the whole industry and I know this because it's my job to know this. Actually, my company is doing better than the competition and things are still looking bleak. You don't have to take my word for it, look at the official data that manufacturing output country wide is down for a fifth consecutive quarter. I'm not making the numbers up. They're out there for your reading pleasure.

If things were bleak and jobs were being lost left and right then the job numbers would support your statement, but they don't. I gave them to you last page. They show a constant increase over the last 10 years, with minor dips here and there as is normal. To which you cited your job in the face of raw numbers. Hmm, anecdotal reference, or actual data. Which to trust. 🤔

Do you mean Where, perhaps. Sorry just a stickler for grammar. No big deal you got sucked into cherry picking MDL stats for the low information voter.
Its as if a Airplane climbs to O to 40K then descends to 35K, and someone screams.. Err my god we are losing altitude, we are crashing, when in fact you are still plus 35K Ft.
After a few years of people trying to bash Trump , its easy to spot fake news

I like how actual numbers are fake news.

But why argue with a TDS afflicted soul, nothing can stop these people from worshipping the dear leader.

So Trump is back to "dear leader" now?  Btw, I heard some mainstream Democrats calling Bernie supporters Nazi's and a cult the other day.  It will be an interesting primary.

So, if both what you posted and what others have posted show different numbers, which ones are right?

All the numbers are right (numbers don't lie, people do), the difference is, the numbers they cite have an easy explanation (you'll notice their citation had absolutely no context to it, which NB fell for.. don't ever argue with cut and paste with no context), and that explanation is at the tail end of my graph where you see a very tiny dip, which you see all over the place. They're basically taking two pieces of data from a very small and very selective frame of time and magnifying it, along with their pointless anecdotal reference, for obvious reasons, whereas the graph I have uses over 40 aggregate data points from a 10 year span (the most common frame for analyzing macro data and organizational strategic planning) and is far more accurate and longitudinal. If someone finds their job at risk in what's clearly a growing sector, it speaks either to the usefulness of their work/job, or the company itself.
