Hello everyone,

So I'm wrapping up some things for sending my initial CR1/Spousal Visa to send to USCIS. I'm gathering evidence for Bona Fide Marriage and am being told that pictures will only help in the interview stage.  I'm a bit confused as to what other evidence would qualify as my wife and I are newly married.

So far I have

Copies of both our license with same address.

Copy of bank statements of deposits she made into my account for rent (She can't open a joint account as she had some debt previously with a family member that she is still paying off)

Copy of some recent utility with same address (Electric is in her name, Gas/Water in mine) I only have this months. I don't keep my statements.

Copy Marriage Certificate (Obviously)

Copy of my Marriage Migrant Visa (f-6) for South Korea

I also have a list of photos with dates and explanations as well as flight itineraries and boarding passes for when she came to visit me in the USA (2x) and a flight intinerary for when we went to Guam last November.

What I'm being told is that I don't need to send pictures with any of this and instead get 3rd part affidavit of support. BTW, I'm using Rapid Visa. I'll probably get shamed for that but it seems that they think pictures won't help with the USCIS petition.

So, is it correct to say I wont need to send any pictures, only bring them for the interview at the US Embassy?

Thank You

I would definitely send photos with the I-130 application.  Most people do, including myself and our application was approved.  Best of luck to you!

Definitely send pictures. Pictures are waaaaay better than an affidavit of support. We only sent ~10 pictures (mix of wedding and non-wedding photos) and no affidavit of support and were approved. Even if the pictures don't help at this stage, they won't hurt and they'll stay with your petition through the whole process and might end up helping at a later stage.

Someone had previously posted they received an RFE and listed what was required in a forum. The RFE included pictures as the petitioner did not include any. Would not hurt to send some in anyway!

Consular Officers are not required to even look at or consider relationship evidence taken to the interview.  Definitely send photos with the petition.

More than a few users reported receiving incorrect guidance from RapidVisa, so good that you are doing your own research.

Wouldn't trust most things RapidVisa says. They don't actually "know" anything, they are just reading information off an outdated script given to them by the company. Send the pictures anyways
