Fill in "N/A" or leave Blank Spaces for parts that don't apply?

Bear with me please, i'm new and i just wanna get this right. I've seen on youtube some people fill in "N/A" and some people leave spaces blank.  What are the thoughts on people who've done this before?

 

I am aware of instruction page that says:

 

3. Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been
married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise
directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many
children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless
otherwise directed.

09/29/2020 - Received Text Message Receipts (I-485, I-130, I-131)

10/05/2020 - Received Hard Copy Mail Receipts (NOA?) (I-485, I-130, I-131)

10/12/2020 - Sent new I-765 form

10/14/2020 - New version of I-765 received in Chicago

03/10/2021 - Notice of Deficiency (Missing I-693 Medical Form)

06/25/2021 - Receive Biometrics Appointment Letter

07/23/2021 - Biometrics Appointment at Norfolk VA USCIS Office

07/23/2021 - 485 & 765 statuses changed to "Initial Review"

07/29/2021 - Interview Ready to Be Scheduled

08/13/2021 - Interview Scheduled for September 21st

09/21/2021 - Interview at USCIS Norfolk VA

09/21/2021 - Email saying “card produced and mailed”

09/24/2021 - Approval email sent for I-485

09/28/2021 - Green Card mailed by USCIS (email notification)

09/29/2021 - Green Card delivered to mailbox (also email notification)

10/01/2021 - I-765 rejected because “benefits were obtained via other means”

 

13 Months Total, No Lawyer or assistance besides USCIS website and VisaJourney, you can do it too!!!!

Thanks for the advice guys. I will fill in N/A. However, while youtube videos aren't official, they aren't all bad. It's good to visually see how other folks' applications look like. Without them, i probably would have missed a couple of things. Plus, the "evidence of relationship/how you met" are a bit vague. Seeing specific and various examples helps a lot. Had I not seen some videos I would have submitted some flimsy little application. Guys are out there compiling whole books 🙆‍♂️

I have never seen any reports here of an RFE for leaving an actually not applicable question blank, and definitely left the spaces the PDF wouldn't let me type in blank on both my petition and my wife's AOS forms.

 

I think the directions are out of sync with actual policy, but they haven't revised the directions yet.

Ok, what about parts that don't apply... but aren't text fields. Like question number 5. Obviously I can't put N/A for it. And leaving it blank is... incomplete?

That one stays blank.

Question 5 does not "exist" if you checked 4.a.

 

Everything is really pretty clear if you read the instructions and follow them literally. Make sure to read up on country specific "requirements" before you sent the whole thing of. Not all embassies/consulates want to see the same things and some prefer to have certain items included in the original package (front loading).
