Welcome! We are still working on deciding which route to take... who knows? maybe we'll be working on this at the same time! Good luck to you!

I'm a USC married to a french man who has been living in Canada for about 20 years.

March of 2005 -Met each other by chance in in Niagara Falls

April of 2005- after a ton of emails, arranged to meet in Montreal, now it's really getting exciting

May of 2005- tons of emails, he comes to visit Kentucky- we are so in love

In between visits to Toronto and KY, we go to Honduras, Montreal, Vancouver for vacations.

Sept 1, 2007 -Back and forth visits in between, IM and Skype, now we take the plunge and get married. We are so happy and my family and friends love him as much as I do!

March 25, 2008- Mailed out the I-130... finally!!!

April 4, 2008- Received the NOA1!!!

Sept. 2008 We went to Paris and the south of France (our 1st anniversary spent here) to visit my new family- with a quick peek at Spain. I love his mom and his son!

Just received a notice that we are moved to the CSC! I hear that is very good news! The date on the letter is Nov. 5.

Dec 16- Received our I-797C, Notice of Action Approval Notice with a Notice Date of Dec. 5 - super excited!

Called and told about change of address (in Canada) for beneficiary 12-22-08

Jan 11 2009 -Receipt of AOS Fee payment.

Feb 5- emailed DS-3032 and mailed the hard copy.

Feb 11- received confirmation email for DS-3032

March 29- 2009 Online payment of IV fee

Jan 11, 2010- husband spoke with NVC- still haven't received DS-230... she said since we paid online that we won't receive a package- just download forms- she sent him link to instructions via email.

Thanks again everyone!

John will be getting certified copies of his birth certificate and divorce papers soon...like this week. Even if I have to remind him every day :D

He tends to forget things, so I have to constantly remind him of stuff. *sigh* I guess he's just being a boy :whistle: haha.

Only a few more items to complete, and I can send everything I have up here to him in Virginia. Things like passport photos for both of us, the certified copies, and a couple of more items from the biographic information. One thing on mine is my new place of employment's address....it doesn't have one yet lol. It's still in the process of being built so I have to ask as soon as I start working....like on Saturday! :D

You know, being here, and filling out the paperwork at the same time makes it feel like it's really happening. Before posting it was just like "ya, it'll get done, we're really not in a big hurry' but the closer we get the more excited I get and the more I want it to happen and get down there :lol:

Oh, quick side note: if any of you have seen the movie "Saints and Soldiers" John was an extra in the movie...right at the beginning with the massacre (yes, sadly he was killed LOL)

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

April 12/11 - biometrics done - I start studying

May - get the letter

June 27 - Interview and oath ceremony - same day

Lifting Conditions

Feb 5/08 - Sent paperwork by USPS - priority

Feb 14/08 - NOA issued

Feb 28/08 - Biometrics letter received for The Bronx Office - have to reschedule

Mar 22/08 - Biometrics rescheduled - LOVE the Saturday appointment!

Feb ?/09 - done!

Well, after almost two months, John finally sent our I-129F to Vermont today.

It was tough for a little while. He would procrastinate doing it, and I was beginning to wonder if he was getting cold feet. Turns out he's just a man and can't organize things worth a dime :bonk::lol: but I still love him.

Now, it's just a matter of waiting a little while longer, but now we know it will happen :)

I'm just so happy that the actual 'official' process has begun! :D

Can't wait to update my signature and timeline! :dancing:

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

Filled out I-130 2/15/02

Filled out I-129F 2/22/02

I-130 was approved 10/22/02

Was out of work for 6 months :( Immigration process was at a stand still thanks to this

Got his EAD and SSN in February 2003

Job market sucked, he couldn't get a job in the US so no AOS

9/8/04 :( DH moved back to Canada K-3 expired

End of 2004, now have job and salary to satisfy affadavit of support (YAY!)

in the wee hours of 6/1 Fire was lit under our butts! (Don't ask!) :(

Visa bill mailed on 6/3

Visa bill received on 6/7

I-864 stuff was sent via overnight mail on 6/14!

Information packet and docs generated 6/20/05

I rec'd the DS-230 packet on 7/26

Sent ds-230 via express mail 8/13

9/15/05 CASE COMPLETED!!!!!!!

10/6/05 Case sent to consulate

10/27/05 Medical Exam ...was marked incomplete

11/10/05 New Medical Exam letter issued! YAY!

11/15/05 Interview--APPROVED BABY!

4/30/06 Activated IR-1 Visa at the Pacific Hwy Crossing in Blaine, WA

5/12/06 Dave Received the Welcome to the US letter...

5/31 Green Card arrived in the mail! Also got 2 more welcome letters!

Dave's company has transferred him 7/6!

Started his position in Bay Area, CA on 8/14!
