Admin Processing twice ?

Hi, I had my interview in the first half of October 2019 at Montreal and after the interview my passport was returned to me and I was asked to submit a document and was placed under administrative processing. I submitted the document the same day and remained in administrative processing until my passport was requested for in early December. Sent the passport right away then, and have still been in administrative processing since that time with no sign of my passport returning.

Is this normal to be placed in administrative processing twice ? I was under the impression that whatever it is they wanted to verify was completed in the 2 months after my interview and prior to asking for my passport. I emailed them and they say the case is still under AP.

Yes completely normal. Admin processing can be for anything. From background checks to working on your visa. It's a catch all term. Plus with Montreal sending in more documents or passport back is always a pain as they are slow getting to it again.
