So I sent in all my documents to NVC on November 27. All documents were accepted January 29 except my marriage certificate. Review Note was unclear but I’m guessing they wanted an attested nikkah nama translation since I only submitted my original and the NADRA certificate. I submitted same day. Did I submit right this time? My lawyer submitted docs initially but this happened ! Now waiting for them to re-check and accept the marriage certificate so I can get DQ. Anyone else had this happen, how long did it take after re-submission??? Eagerly waiting....

Once you submit a new document or resubmit a document it goes to the back of the line again, right now as of Feb 10 they are reviewing documents submitted on Dec 10. We sent our second submission Dec 18 and we are still waiting as well

Our CR1 Journey:

 

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

 

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

 

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

 

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

Proof of employment. Though the type of document bears nothing on how long it takes. No one knows why some have gotten quick review but I haven’t seen anyone take much less than 8-9 weeks in a long time now

Really 😰. I went back to previous posts from back in july-august 2019 whose resubmissions took 2-3 weeks first time they had to re-submit documents. Maybe it means that time NVS was more caught up with cases. If only it was 2-3 weeks. Mine was January 29th so I guess I’ll be waiting For a while but your date is almost coming up, so good luck!!

Yeah sadly NVC slowed down a lot after the holidays in November and December and are now really behind, I hope that they pick up the pace soon!
