I think its interesting when understanding that virtually every communication by politicians, particularly nowadays, are scripted, even the parts where they try and look authentic. You've seen the comedic failures from Warren, Beto, and co., where they went so far out of their way to contrive some organic viral video as a branding method to connect with audiences, but faceplanted hard and just demonstrated their palpable disconnect from the rest of humanity -- this is no different. 

 

She likely remembers nothing from her degree, and doesn't need to, when she has a staff that does everything for her, probably changes/bathes her too. They write all the bills for her, they do all the research for her, they write all the speeches for her, including the one they likely had for her in this hearing, which she chose to ignore, and tried to ad lib, and it's times like that where you see their actual knowledge. However, assuming this is simple stupidity is totally missing the point.. the same way you see Amazon operating as disruptive technology, you see AOC employing disruptive politics. Trump has his own version of disruptive politics, too. AOC's brand, however, is playing dumb, so as she contrives causing chaos, it acts as a dog whistle to other people on the left to act the same way (they get the intended message which is to demonstrate how much more on board these politicians are with socialism), while everyone else gets the portrayed (wrong) message to everyone else that she's an airhead, so writing her off. It's a ploy to get people's guard down while they continue to sow chaos around the country, and it's a tactic that's working, because people have no idea how to counter the chaos they've caused (sanctuary cities, Antifa sympathy from governors/mayors/congress members/media/etc), let alone correctly assess it for its nefarious intentions (thinking its just stupidity), because they're not correctly classifying it for what it is.

Politics isn't that complicated, they borrow their brand image philosophies from the business world. And she is a disruptive force, one thing to understand about disruptive forces is people underestimate them as a blunder. This for example is a good reading:

The whole thing is a good read, but this part I quoted I found interesting, because the left spend significant effort deriving psychological implements designed to facilitate them getting their way. This is no different. AOC is simply better at the "authentic" brand than, say, Beto, or Warren. Rest assured though, that "non-script" appearance and the disruptive movement associated is definitely planned.

  Do you ever react this way when Trump say stupid things, like windmills cause cancer, or wanting to buy Greenland? To what purpose are we reacting to a representative with "half a cortex" if we are willing to overlook a president who often appears to lack the entire organ?

I guess since Mr. Trump is not a geography major but just a president, a little Kansas-city confusion is totally okay...

And so many more examples of Mr. Trump saying and doing stupid things as Steelballz pointed out. Mr. Trump's brain should be checked as well.
