I am pretty sure I am going to meet him halfway somewhere in Europe, have a nice little vacation and then enter a US POE together. I was just wondering about JFK, because of the EAD stamp and entering there.

Thanks

You can always go through the non-USC line with him.

Whenever I've entered the US with my wife we have always been directed to USC line together.

Normally there is someone directing people to the correct line. Just show them both passports and ask. Even when I came in on my visa, with my wife, we were directed to the USC line.

For JODO: so, you dropped the idea of vacation/PFI-entry from Canada? Ah well, it certainly had the drawback of no-way-90-day-temp-EAD.

I came through JFK with my (now) husband and stepson in October of 2005. We were directed to the non-USC line, but I was permitted to go with them through the process (I am the USC). I really wanted to make sure he got the temp EAD.

No worries! Have a great trip.

Maya

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

Ya Cherry XS, we sorta have a previous date with Istanbul anyway(long story) but yea the 90 day EAD is what won out! But one day, hopefully, we'll get to our neighbor up North.

I am the USC and took my wife with me (she was my fiance then) through the USC line. I've asked at more than one port of entry without her, whether I could take her through the USC side with me. At more than one location, I've been told, "If she's your wife, you can take her wherever you want." But I imagine they will in fact insist on a valid visa. ;)

And he may be able to use the USC-LPR line with you. My wife did.
