Alright, update!

After receiving the generic: "we have a ton of petitions to get through and yours is in review" message, we received a date change on our My USCIS account, and now today we finally were approved! It was almost an entire year of waiting but finally, we are on to the next step. Now to just wait for our NVC correspondence.

Congratulations!! I'm happy for you guys! Now you can move forward with your case :)

Hi everyone, i just came across this thread and saw that most of you are i130 filers whose applications got transferred to Vermont SC.

I'm in the same boat, but my case is bit more frustrating. I'm a USC and i filed for my spouse i130 on 04/10/2019 in Nebraska Service center, she lives outside the U.S.

The only update i received was on 03/02/2020 and it was that the case was transferred to another office, never received an actual notice but it was via an email when i asked them i never received anything. It said that the application is pending security checks before they can make a decision and once the checks are cleared then they will let me know. It's been 18 months since we applied and it's really frustrating, i've consulted a lawyer and she said nothing can be done at this time but wait, i reached out to my congress woman and same answer from USCIS about the security checks, I also requested an expedite since my wife lives in Lebanon (where the bug explosion happened in Aug.4) and it's been over 2 weeks with no response.

Sorry for the long paragraph but hopefully someone can give me an advice or guidance on what else i can do.

Thanks

Thank you for your response, it does give me hope actually, the only reason i didn't file K3 is because the lawyer i consulted said it's pointless at this stage and there's barely anyone filing it anymore.

I feel exactly the same, 18+ months of wait is not easy, and not even knowing when this will be over is what make it harder, thanks for your prayers and i always keep everyone in mine 🙏
