I submitted in February 2019 to Nebraska, transferred to Vermont in Feb 2020.  I haven't received anything, no date changes, no info.  When I called and spoke to a level 2 office last month they said my status has been "Needs Review" since February.  Seems like lots of people with applications much later than mine have already been processed.  Any idea how to get this unstuck or what may be going on?

Have you asked if you can submit an 'outside of processing time' request?  Considering that Nebraska is doing May 2019 cases for US citizens at the moment. You could try doing it online on uscis processing times webpage or asking a uscis representative.

I saw some posts on other thread of people that were transferred from Texas SC being able to request ONPT through uscis live/phone agents. You could be right about the timeline now being Vermont's, but I'd still ask an agent or T2 officer. Hope you can get something sorted out soon. Best of luck! :)

Hi Guys

Thanks to the individual who created this group, I don't feel like I'm the only one anymore that's going through this transfer from Nebraska to Vermont and concerned that it says that it take like almost a year longer at the Vermont  center .

I filed my i -130 and got the receipt on April 05th -  2019 from USCIS

I was transferred to Vermont on Feb 15 2020

I got a RFE - Request for Evidence on March 2020, I submitted the info they asked for on April 2020 and they also acknowledged receipt of the evidence requested in April  2020.

15 months later in total since LIN receipt on April 2019 and I'm still waiting ..

Just curious about your timelines please  ?

Was your LIN receipt before or after me, any idea what dates Vermont is processing nowadays ?

Am I behind  ? or are they still working on applications prior to April 2019 ?

Please give me some hope , this is really discouraging ..

please and thanks in advance , stay safe !

Losing hope on my IR5. It’s for my mother and she’s quite old ...

PD - 05/10/2019

Transferred from Nebraska to Vermont 03/10/2020

Nothing yet ... And of course, I can’t even initiate an enquiry because it’s still within USCIS processing times ... (19.5 to 25 months for Vermont)

If it had not been transferred the receipt date for case enquiry is May 22, 2019 ...

The Vermont processing time doesn't apply to you because it was transferred , call the line and ask to speak to a LEVEL 2 officer , if u read all 22 pages here u will see the 19.5 - 25 months does not apply to u ..

You will be following the timelines of your existing service center after transferred. I can share my personal experience. I know that my case has been transferred to VSC on Feb 23 still I decided to try an ONPT service request because my NOA-1 was from TSC with 4 November, 2019 PD and I never received a transfer notice. I was surprised that my request went through their system.

06/29     submitted ONPT service request

06/30     received service request confirmation by USCIS

07/01     received answer from VSC “The processing of your case is within our current processing time”

But every case is different so I encourage everyone to utilize the available resources to speed up your case and might something sorted out.

I can attest to the last few comments on retaining the original processing time in case of transfer.

NOA1 Date: 05/10/2019 (Nebraska SC)

Transferred to Vermont SC: 03/10/2020 (No transfer notice)

ONPT filed: Just now

I chatted with live agent as I didn’t get an immediate confirmation via email. But it came through as I was talking. Looks like we retain the original date (original SC), as he didn’t comment otherwise during the chat.

Received another date change on the 29th and still nothing to show for it. So far we had our case transferred in Feb, date change in March, twice again in May, and now three times in June. Our case is extremely straight forward and simple so it's just frustrating to not see anything get approved yet.

And just got another date change as of yesterday. Each time I see it I'm afraid to scroll beyond the date and just the same "In Processing" note that's been there for nearly a year now.

Hi all! I'm glad someone started this thread. I'm in the same boat as you guys. My PD is 20th June 2019. My case was transferred from TSC to VSC on 15th July 2019. Ever since then, there has been no update on my case. All it says is that My Case Has Been Transferred To Another Office for Processing. No updates whatsoever. It's been almost 13 months now since my case was filed! It's crazy long and the processing times for VSC are so long (uptil 25 months!). I hope it doesn't take that long Oh God.... :((  Also my receipt starts with SRC. Any SRC out here?

I got this response via email: “Your petition is currently pending adjudication and will be assigned to an officer soon.  We regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date at this time.”

Looks like a canned response, in which case, the ONPT hasn’t done much good ...

And ironically, the following was mentioned as well: “USCIS is committed to processing this workload in a timely and efficient manner and continually works to complete these cases in the order they were received.

What options are available to me at this point?

Any updates from other transfeees to Vermont? I filed an outside normal processing time request. They responded acknowledging that, but offered no particular resolution except saying, they don’t have any ability to predict when it would be processed.

Is there an option to escalate at this point: a) Follow up with the representative office to petition for an answer? b) Another way to request beyond the request? USCIS Ombuds?

I just did the same and got a response that said “yea you’re outside normal processing time but your case is with an officer and you’ll be hearing soon”.  That was a few weeks ago still nothing.
