I spoke with an officer who said my i-130 was marked “needs review” in February, shortly after transfer to VT.  Any idea what this means and how long this can take?  Filing date was February 2018.

Sorry “February 2019”.  All the case numbers I checked with receipt numbers near ours have been processed by now and it seems like they are on to April 2019 cases in the ordinary course.

Both my wife and stepson's cases were approved this morning. My sons was transferred to Vermont on 2/23 but my wifes was sent to California. I sent a letter 2 weeks ago asking them to link the cases. Both approved today May 6th.

I am so happy. Only worried because of the cost of all these flights and visas and doctors visits. Lol God will provide.

That is such a good news. Thx for sharing your experience.

I am facing this strange situation.

I have filed three I-130 petitions for my spouse and two children. Later on, they have transferred my daughter petition to California and my spouse and son petition to Vermont center. Yesterday they had approved  my 10 years old son case. But my spouse and daughter cases are still under processing at different centers.

I wish that i could have done the same earlier.

What number do you call to talk to an officer?
