I finally received an answer from USCIS today after my case was transferred from Neb to Vermont on 1/22/2020 (NOA1 2/19/2020). Unfortunately I have to submit “Request for Additional Evidence” and I don’t know exactly what it is that they are looking for as I have not received anything in the mail from them yet. I will update more once I receive.

Sorry to hear this news but i hope they ask something easy and  next notification you get yur approval  good luck

The good news after all is they are checking on your case finally! I hope you and everyone else get the approval very soon! I am pretty sure all of you will!

Hello,

I have submitted i130 (IOE) on 1/15/2020 with PD of 1/15/2020 (NOA1 1/15/2020). Checked with live chat assistance, and notice my case was transferred from TSC to VSC. Notice a date updated on USCIS account about the case happened on 2/23/2020

I have not received any notification/mail regarding to the transfer action. The live chat associate told me that to look at the new time range processing time of VSC (which is 16.5 - 21 months), but my original assigned TSC is 7.5-9.5 months. I am so nervous and worry about my case. And hope that the transfer action is really a good things for everyone (really speed up the cases, but not slow down).

I filed my NOA1 application online on December 19, 2019, and my case status changed on February 24, 2020.

The receipt for my NOA1 said Texas Processing Center on the bottom but when I sent a message through USCIS, I got a semi-automated reply telling me to check the processing time, I had to choose Vermont Processing Center.

Very disappointing if my case was transferred.  So far, it seems that Nebraska applicants who have been transferred to Vermont have been getting their applications processed relatively soon afterwards, but no data points on Texas applicants.  I was expecting a July/August 2020 approval.  Hoping that's still the case...

It's strange that these transfers from Texas to Vermont are not detailed on this page:

https://www.uscis.gov/workload-transfers

Btw, to those who chat with "Emma" what do you type to confirm that your case was transferred?

And what phone number do you use to contact a rep?  I seem to always get stuck with automated system and can't reach an option to speak with a rep.

Thanks

It looks like that your case has been transferred to Vermont. Yes, it is strange they have not mentioned case transfers from TSC to VSC on their workload transfer update. You cannot do anything.

You can ask Emma to connect you with a live representative. Once connected then you can ask anything. It is best way to connect them time wise.

My stepson's I130 has a PD of 10/26/19. It was in Nebraska. Was transferred 2/23/20 to Vermont while my wifes was sent to California.

Some posters indicate that because our case numbers start with IOE that is a good sign. Some say they often get approved 2 months after they are transferred. But overall I have seen people saying they got approved in Vermont in less than 6 months and also others 15 months. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. And USCIS told me it could be up to 22 months at Vermont.

I'm feeling pretty bewildered because I guess our cases could be approved anytime from tomorrow to mid 2021.

It would appear that my wife's case also was transferred to the Vermont office.

Our PD was 10/2/2019

And I had seen that the last activity I could see when checking the status was March 4th, but nothing mentioning a transfer.

I asked for an agent via Emma's live chat and they told me the case was sent to Vermont on Feb. 23rd.

Our case is pretty straight forward so let's hope that our NOA2 comes pretty soon! Good luck to everyone else 👍

Just found out that our case (PD: 01/11/2020) was transferred to VSC from TSC on 02/23/2020. I really hope this doesn't mean a longer wait. Good luck to all and congrats to those who have gotten their approvals.

You've long ways to go, but ya it's unfortunate it went to VSC out of all the service centers. Hopefully you might be transferred again elsewhere.

Talked to Tier 2 officer regarding my case, turns out its still under background check, my last date update(April 16) is when it was assigned to a officer, but she said there's no guarantee when that officer will get to it, could be 45 days or more due to Covid, June 4th is when all USCIS offices will re-open supposedly. She is also said they are working on other visa categories(non-IR/CR) coz they take higher precedence due to Covid 19, which is the causing further delay. She didn't give me a definite answer why California, Potomac and others are handling transferred cases faster, but it just seems like Vermont is slowest of the bunch and we are stuck with it.
