I have applied/filled form i-130 for my Canadian born child (unmarried over age 21) She is located in Toronto and the designated consulate in her area is Montreal Quebec. The receipt date is September 17, 2017, so have lots of time before she gets an interview. I have heard that Montreal consulate is too busy and it may take longer to line up an interview when time comes. We have relatives living in Vancouver British Columbia; so I wanted to know if we can change the designated consulate to Vancouver BC or Montreal Quebec is going to be it? We still have lots of time there is no urgency.

Who knows what it will be when the PD is current, but only Montreal handles immigrant visas in Canada.

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

As stated Vancouver no longer does any interviews for immigrants. When they did, it was for K1 only.  All immigrant visas go through Montreal.
