look at your local office for a timeline search and thats about as good as it gets.

It can really vary. I have seen some posts of people getting the card in a couple of months while others have waited over a year. You might take a look at the timeline stats, there is some good info for you to look at.

While there is NO way that one can absolutely predict how long it will take to be approved for a green card, there is indeed a great deal of history thats been compiled by this and other sites that can help. There are a good number of variables that can either shorten or lengthen the amount of time it takes, like:

1. Type of immigration, K-visa, marriage-based, visitor, etc.

2. Completeness of paperwork

3. Previous immigation violations

4. Previous involvement with criminal law enforcement.

If you are filing from a K-visa, many report receiving green card approval within five months to one year after sending the package to the USCIS.
