I submitted my adjustment status a month ago and I did my biometric Appointment everything was fine. so I'm waiting to be scheduled for the interview. but this morning I received a letter in my box telling me to provide a birth certificate. thing that I had already done, I provide them with an original copy of my birth certificate as well as a translated copy and certify in English by an approved translator... I do not understand why I receive this letter asking me to provide again a birth certificate.. do the want a new one ?! what should i do ?!

post the rfe letter here so one can help. . if you submitted the certificated there are two scenarios

1) your birth certificate did not meet the standard

2) USCIS possible lost the copy of birth certificate - odds of this is very low

I went to the Uscis website to look and my birth certificate  meet the standard.. this why I don't understand.

So I want to know if someone get the same issue like me. Or in this case what should I do ?!

You have no option but to give them what they ask .. if you are certain that what you sent them is correct .. and correctly translated.. then send that again. No benefit trying to work out of they have lost it, accidentally shredded it , or if the office dog ate it !

If your birth certicifate is translated make sure you send a copy of the original, the translated version, and a signed statments from the translator that the document was translated correctly.  If you read the I-129F instructions it has an example of what it has to say, and be signed by the translator.

I got an RFE for the birth certificate 10 months after submitting AOS. I 100% put the birth certificate in the packet, but they asked for it again. I sent the same thing again with a note from a Swedish government website that describes what a Swedish birth certificate looks like. (it looks very informal, just a printed piece of paper from their equivalent of the American IRS agency). We got an interview date after we sent that in and the IO asked us about it. We just explained that's what a Swedish birth certificate looks like and she said OK. Hope that makes you feel better!

I can't find the RFE so I don't know exactly, but I think we got sent the response to the RFE in mid September and received our interview letter on October 20 (with the interview being November 14). So it moved pretty quickly after that!
