Higher sponsorship requirements and no joint sponsor.

Yeahhh, the no sponsor option was why I was not able to move to the UK with my husband.

 

OP, I’m not sure why you thought someone working for the government couldn’t sponsor you, but they can. If that’s still an option, do that.

OP, I’m not sure why you thought someone working for the government couldn’t sponsor you, but they can. If that’s still an option, do that.

I think the person used it as an excuse not to be a joint sponsor.

it seems like you are saying your wife cant work without her car?

she will need to find a different type of job where she can take the bus or something, and something that shows more stability in income and above the minimum amount, even 2 jobs, a full time and a part time job.

dont spend money on things like going out, its bunker time, you need to save money for the aos application or you could be sent back and most likely not be able to come back for a long time, if ever.

if she absolutely needs a car, go to one of those places where they approve cars for anyone like jd byrider or something and get a basic cheap car for now. her second part time job could even be something like doordash or something. anything to get by until things are sorted. heck having both jobs could put you well abve the minimum requirements for sponsorship without needing a co sponsor

 

just a bit of background, i also had to buy a car while i was going through the process to bring my wife here. i didnt have the need for a cosponsor though and we have no kids, and it was rough, but you need to address it now, and it can be done. you both need to make sacrifices and you both need to be a team more than ever. it can be done. and once you get on the road to making it work, whatever it takes, you will both be stronger for it in the long run
