hi guys

the information that i mentioned is true. just lastnight when i asked her again to tel me exactly how her GROSS she said the amount i mentioned. yes she is working full time. (8 hours aday)now. just 2 months ago they raised her wage to 10.75

i hope this time things are clear . i am confused then where is the problem resides?

many thanks

I understand that the information you are providing are true, but you were not clear providing your information until now. So on the I-864, she should write $15,162.98 for her 2006 income. You did mention before that her last year's wage was $10.50 or $10.75 per hour. But your last post said she got raise 2 months ago to $10.75 per hour.

hanout is fine. We understood what he meant. I did suggest him to get a co sponsor because of his wife's income of 2006. It seems to me the OP is the beneficiary and his wife is the USC petitioner. They won't need a lawyer, if they can follow the forms' instructions here.

I know that you have received many answers, but I thought I would follow up with you.

1. Go with the amount you wife made on her W2. You can also place the hourly too, but they will never work out to be equal because some of her overall income may have been over time and plus she may not have worked a full 40 hours a week, which in some states 32 hours is considered full time. You will not meet the sponsor requirements. The link below is the 2007 Federal Poverty Guidelines. For a family of two she needs to make 25% above $13,690 which is $17,112.50 per year. http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/07poverty.shtml

2. If you friend wants to co-sponsor you she will need to make sure that she meets the poverty guidelines including you and her family. For example if it is just her and her husband then she needs to meet the requirements for a family of 4 with her income and your wifes. Family of four is $20,650 plus 25% is $25,812.50 so together your wife and the co-sponsor need to make that.

I hope this helps you.
