As a CR1 visa seeker was I supposed to register on U.S. Consulate General Lagos, Nigeria site?    I registered the other day and put in my husband's contact information so he can be notified about visa pick up but then I ended up at a calendar page that said I need to pick an interview date but we have interview date already through NVC.  So I just logged off.  Now I am worried that I should not have even entered that site.   Thank you.

I was asking the same question earlier this week as well... And I was clarified. I just copied to replies I got:

Look at the left hand side of the screen shot, you'll see the update profile sign, click on it and update your profile and save it...then come to the home page where you clicked on the update profile, this time you'll go little down to Visa information, click on it and input your Visa category there and then save it...that's all, they've gotten your info which will make them inform you when your Visa is available for pick up,forget about the appointment scheduling cuz it does not apply to you...I hope this helps .

Thanks. But immigrants visa appointments are scheduled by the consulate. How do we go about it? Any link to those who have been scheduled appointment from the embassy in the ustraveldocs to update their accounts?

You will register after your visa is approved, the link will be on one of the papers they will give you after your approval.

The link is simply for you to track your passport and visa for pickup and for the Dhl to contact you when your passport is available for pickup

Thank you so much. I believe this is what I have done but because of paranoia about this whole process I will go back on there and verify! Thanks dearly!
