Already shared that.

If past one month...but not otherwise.

 

Likely they both had visas as expats  (expats = foreign citizens living or working there).

They no longer need the visas, and let them expire (or be cancelled or not be renewed) because they are no longer working or living there.

But being there for a month for the US spouse is covered, visa-free.

If she needs to stay longer then so be it...clearly.

Once he gets his green card he can also easily go back to UAE for the allowed duration of stay (with any appropriate visa).

I really appreciate all the responses and trying to help me figure out the next way to do this. 

 

Still trying to figure out which option to go with.
