Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman is leaving his post at the National Security Council, Fox News confirmed Friday.

The timeline of Vindman’s departure is unclear. Vindman was apparently planning to leavehis post at the end of the month, but his exit could come sooner.

The news comes after reports that the White House was weighing options to dismiss Vindman from the NSC in an effort to shrink its foreign policy bureaucracy. Bloomberg reported Thursday that the White House planned to frame Vindman’s exit as part of an NSC staff downsizing, not retaliation.

Yep.  No reason to keep him around, imo.  He serves at the pleasure of the POTUS.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Vindman was on detail to the National Security Council from the Department of Defense, and it is expected he will return there. It comes just two days after President Trump was acquitted in the Senate on the impeachment charges brought by the House last year over his dealings with Ukraine.

Was given his walking papers, along with his brother. Too bad he's not in prison and permanently barred from any government position, he definitely deserves it.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

If you fire at the King, you better not miss.........Trump has every right to fire these people.  They all serve at the pleasure of the POTS.   Didn't Obama fire almost all the previous POTUS's ambassadors?

I had reported the topic to be changed to something like "Vindman/Sondland fired, Trump cleaning house at NSC" to reflect updates to the OP since we can't continue to edit the OP (which I'd have done to reflect updates to Vindman, never mind added the Sondland+other NSC firing news) after 10 minutes of posting. If a moderator could change the title to what was requested (since it would seem silly to make a new thread for every firing) that would be awesome, thanks.
