Haven't checked for about a month and they were holding Estimated Wait time to February 2021 (2 months at the time). Just checked again today and now says 2 Days.

Feeling hopeful  😬

Apparently it knows how to calculate the number of days to the end of a month before it rolls forward to say "We are taking longer than expected..."  **Sigh**   Later applicants passing us by, but I know that's how it goes sometimes. Remaining patient.

Congrats. Please post when you know the interview date.

Also, it is NOT a good idea to post your receipt number here - this is a public forum.

I'd suggest you edit the post and delete that bit of information.

I hope all goes well for you. I just had my interview today in Hartford CT. 3 year rule, arrived 15 minutes before interview time. I filed early Feb.

barely anyone in the area (due to Covid I believe). My interview started 15 minutes after the scheduled time and took approximately 30 minutes.

The officer was nice and professional. This is my interview experience:

1- I was asked to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth

2- officer asked for my green card, driving license, passport. I brought all my passports with me (expired ones also for reference).
3- He asked about my old conditional green card. I didn’t have it since it’s expired. Wasn’t a big deal for him. He also asked about the last time I flew since most of my last trips were by car.
4- He started immediately with the history questions. I was asked 6 and he stopped. I suggest just study the easy 100 questions and you’ll be good.
5- reading and writing test (nothing outside of basic English, from the vocabs they list on their website).
6- we then went into the no no no no questions

7- I gave him an update with my additional trips after my application. He incorporated that into the application (short trips).
8- some other random questions from the applications. (Quick confirmations)

9- Asked about oath of allegiance and if I understood it. Asked if I am willing to take it.
10- Gave me a piece of paper saying my application will be recommended for approval.

I checked my online status and it says in line to take the oath. He said I should get a mail within a week.

that’s all. It was an overall positive experience. I brought ALOT of documents with me but only really had to use what I listed above.

thank you and good luck.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Congratulations- I hope your oath ceremony is scheduled soon.  I saw in November they had oath the same day- too bad that wasn’t the case for you as well. I will dig out his 2 year green card and have him bring that as well- we moved in the process so I’ve been searching for everything - I should have kept it all together. His interview is in 2 weeks. Is there a parking garage/lot or is it street parking? I am going to go with my husband and wait in the car if we can find someone to watch the baby (he would prefer my support and isn’t familiar with Hartford)

No problem & thank you for your congratulations. Oath ceremony was scheduled the day after my interview for early Feb! (not a big deal since its only a couple weeks wait). It is scheduled for the SAME location as the field office (which is great!).

The officer did not mind that I did not have the 2 year green card but I would for sure bring it if you have it just in case. In the oath ceremony letter now available online on my account, it did say 'bring all green cards you may have, expired or current'. I ended up finding my 2 year green card after the interview (I had already cut it in half lol but I will bring the destroyed card with me to the Oath ceremony anyway). Also, if you have the EAD card, I would bring that too.

For parking, there is street parking across the building entrance, there is also a parking garage/ lot next to the building (did not use it but I do not think it is related to this building as it seems like a private lot where you pay to park). Arrive 30 minutes before your interview and you would be all set to find a good parking spot, go through security check in and wait in the waiting area until your name is called. If you are going with your husband, you might as well go into the building with him and wait in the waiting room (they might not mind that, worth a shot I did see people with 'guests' waiting). In my case, my wife was at work (she is a medical professional and PTO is pretty much impossible during these times...)

Best of luck - I hope you have a same day ceremony to get this over with! almost there!

Congratulations, do they asking EAD card? I am sure I apply for I-131 ( travel documents) and i-765 ( employment authorization document ) . But as I remember I didn’t get EAD card or travel document maybe because I got my greencard less than 3 month since I apply. It’s long time ago  ( more than 10 years ) I am not remember for sure. Thank you

In the oath ceremony letter, they ask to bring green cards (expired and current), rentry documents, EAD, expired or current.

I believe the keywords are “may have”. In my opinion, if you’ve already destroyed the expired cards, then informing them that they’re destroyed should do it. I saw other posts on this website with people saying it was not an issue for them that they didn’t bring the expired cards/ documents to the oath ceremony.

from my own perspective, I wouldn’t worry about not having expired cards with me at the ceremony. But if you have them, might as well follow what the letter say and bring them with you.

Good luck!

Can we apply N-400 while I-751 is still pending?

My i751 took 18 months before I was scheduled for interview, all went well, n was approved. I wanted to file n400 while it was pending because most people was doing it, but a good friend ask me to wait, not to add another stress to what I was already going through with the i751. I waited and file n400 after I received my 10 year green card in my hands.

my n400 is 11 months now, no news, but am not worried like I was with the i751.

you can apply if you want, but the power is in your hands 🙌🏽

stay blessed, and make the right decision.

I did, because our end goal is citizenship. I was nervous that there would be an issue with both applications pending, but it worked out in the end! Our I-751 is still pending after 22 months and I don't think we would have had an interview until after 24 months. We filed N-400 as soon as we were eligible and a week after receiving our interview date, we also received a notice for I-751 letting us know it would be a joint interview.
