Hi I have interview for February 2021, but I have a question in interview letter they said If you sick, out of country within 2 weeks, close contact to people with covid .... or higher risk because of underlying condition call the no for reschedule for interview. My question is underlying condition for covid 19 have to reschedule or just an option?  And the screening test when you coming to the building? Do they ask about underlying condition for covid 19? Thank you for your help.

I am under the impression if you have pre-existing conditions and currently don’t leave the house you can reschedule your interview and that is a valid reason.

I was not allowed to bring my husband; it says on the letter who you can bring. My husband came with me anyway to see if he could come in but he had to wait outside.

For me it was only N400 though. Read your letter thoroughly. I think they have different rules now because of Covid, they don't want a lot of people in there.

I was going to ask a USCIS agent as well, but someone from my field office said they received a letter from USCIS about a week before their interview date telling them to being their spouse.

Today we received a letter stating our I-751 interview will also be on the same day as hubby's N-400. Included in the letter is a checklist regarding documents we need to submit at the interview.

Our plan prior to this was to have me go to the office and explain to the people at the front (possibly security?) that we have a pending I-751 and see if they would let me in too. If not, my husband was going to let his interviewer know that our application was pending and I was downstairs ready and waiting.

Just an update. I applied in Feb 2020 and I'm going to be done with my Oath this month. Interview was early this week in DC area. Took almost a year (1 month shy) and I find myself lucky to get an interview despite the pandemic that started a month after I filed.

Good luck all. I hope you get your interview/oath ceremony soon.

Cheers!

Hi,

To which processing center did you apply? My application was received at the Newark, NJ processing center on February 21, 2020 but after my biometrics last March, I haven't heard from them. My online account says  "Invalid date Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS". I wrote to them but they said I do not have to do anything. I am wondering if anyone else here is in a similar situation.

Thanks,

Vasanthi

We had the same “invalid date” sentence listed- I wouldn’t worry about that. We are Hartford, CT and applied 2/14.

Hi- I am so glad you posted! I am also a Hartford member- no one else in this group is. I saw someone in the November group did receive their oath the same day - other than that person I can't confirm the oath will be scheduled the same day. Hopefully. Good luck! Husband filed 2/14 so I hope he has his interview just as soon. Are you able to update your timeline on the site? IF you click your user name in the top right corner and then "my timeline" "edit/add my entry" you can enter the date of your N400 file, biometrics and interview date- that would greatly help other Hartford members. I saw only 2 Hartford members updated their timeline in 2020. Thank you so much and good luck- please come back and post your experience after your interview :)

I hope all goes well for you. I just had my interview today in Hartford CT. 3 year rule, arrived 15 minutes before interview time. I filed early Feb.

barely anyone in the area (due to Covid I believe). My interview started 15 minutes after the scheduled time and took approximately 30 minutes.

The officer was nice and professional. This is my interview experience:

1- I was asked to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth

2- officer asked for my green card, driving license, passport. I brought all my passports with me (expired ones also for reference).
3- He asked about my old conditional green card. I didn’t have it since it’s expired. Wasn’t a big deal for him. He also asked about the last time I flew since most of my last trips were by car.
4- He started immediately with the history questions. I was asked 6 and he stopped. I suggest just study the easy 100 questions and you’ll be good.
5- reading and writing test (nothing outside of basic English, from the vocabs they list on their website).
6- we then went into the no no no no questions

7- I gave him an update with my additional trips after my application. He incorporated that into the application (short trips).
8- some other random questions from the applications. (Quick confirmations)

9- Asked about oath of allegiance and if I understood it. Asked if I am willing to take it.
10- Gave me a piece of paper saying my application will be recommended for approval.

I checked my online status and it says in line to take the oath. He said I should get a mail within a week.

that’s all. It was an overall positive experience. I brought ALOT of documents with me but only really had to use what I listed above.

thank you and good luck.

How many senators

Why 50 stars

selective service what age

and couple more can’t recall. Questions were word by word from the 100 questions they ask you to study
