I had my interview a week ago, on December 3rd. It was a bit different than most people I think.

All went well, I had all my answers correct but there were a few issues with my application; I had answered the question whether I wanted to bear arms to defend the country with a no. So the officer asked me why and if I could name the belief that caused me to answer the question like that.

Also, I had an issue at the border many years ago, it always has them pull me aside at the border, I have to go in to the offices and have an officer look at my case. I have had to go through this many times. Of course it came up again and had to answer some questions about it.

Whatever it was, the one or the other, the officer told me I would get a decision by mail. No oath ceremony on the same day!

I did have to sign some papers and that was it.

Of course I was a bit nervous and disappointed but I decided I could not do a thing about it and let it go as best as I could.

Today I received a message that my oath ceremony will be scheduled. No date yet and it says that waiting time is 4 months.

I certainly hope it will be before that as I will be traveling in March to be with my family as a new grandchild is on the way!!

So anyway, that was my experience so far.

For those who would like to know the questions of the naturalization test I answered:

- What did Abraham Lincoln do?

- What are the first words of the constitution?

- What is the capital of the country?

- At what age must all men register for service?

- Who vetoes the bills

- How many US senators are there.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their interview!!

Good day Everyone,

It looks like Santa has come for me this year big time, as I just received this morning the notification that my interview has been scheduled. The PDF document is not available yet so I do not know the date but will update my timeline accordingly once I have it.

Merry Christmas to all! 🤗🎅🏼

I got the "We have taken an action on your case... " email alert today morning. Logged in to check and my interview is scheduled 😃
The letter is not available in the documents yet, so don't know the date - but guessing sometime late Jan, about 11 months from filing.

Time to start preparing for the test.

Notice available for download today. Interview is on 11-Feb-2021.

But, my 'Estimated Case Completion Time' changed to September 2021 (from May 2021, so 4 months longer). Any guesses as to why? If anything, I expected it to reduce a month or so to Mar or Apr.

Same as Bzbee, the interview notice became available this morning with an interview date for February 3rd. My estimated completion date which was originally October 2020 (that disappeared at the end of September 2020 for “we are taking longer...blabla) came back showing September 2021. Not sure it is relevant as I think LA is holding interview + oath the same day (if no issue with the case), and unless it has changed.... we will see!

September 2021 (9 months). But, I'm going to be so upset if it takes that long to get an oath ceremony. Especially because they have the schedule posted online and it seems like they have them every month lol.

I have the same issue. Interview in Feb but estimated completion time moved to Sept 2021. I wonder if this is a bug.

Where do you see the schedule posted?
