No way to undo the sort. I updated most based on user profiles, left the rest with a '?'.

I hope people update it and keep it accurate & up-to-date. Maybe insert a header at the top asking visitors to double-check & correct their info?

Thank you SO much!

We need to lock the spreadsheet and just have a single person edit the file with updates.

(Hello from the September 2019 filers!)

You can go to "File" then "Version History" then "Show Version History" and you'll see a history of all the edits made and can restore a previous version of the spreadsheet.

Thank you all! Does anyone know how to lock the spreadsheet? I don't mind being the updater if you all don't mind but I am not sure if it has to be the person who originally created the spreadsheet?

- Login to your google account.

- Open the spreadsheet

- Right click on the sheet title tab on the bottom (the one that says "New_Format by Johnny5") and select duplicate

- You now have a new sheet that is an exact copy of the data sheet

- Rename the new sheet to something meaningful (like 'data backup')

- Now right click on the title tab of the new sheet and select 'protect sheet' (only available if you are logged in to your Google account)

- You can now set the permissions - setting so that only you (and the sheet owner) can edit is probably the best option.

Another option is to create a duplicate but hide it so others can't change it by accident. I already did this, you can see the hidden copy by going to 'View'-> 'Hidden Sheets'.

Hello everybody,

Just wanted to link an article I came across today that had me pretty worried about immigration employees being furloughed. It is not to incite panic but just to keep us all in the know.

I saw this in another post.. This may not directly apply for anyone in our group as I don't think anyone had a ceremony scheduled; but this is good news in general for us N400ers.

https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-celebrate-independence-day-hosting-naturalization-ceremonies-across-country

USCIS to Celebrate Independence Day by Hosting Naturalization Ceremonies Across the Country

Agency is prioritizing naturalization ceremonies during the COVID-19 pandemic

Release Date: July 1, 2020

WASHINGTON — U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is celebrating the Declaration of Independence and the birth of our great country by hosting naturalization ceremonies across the United States from July 1 through July 7. Despite the pandemic, USCIS continues to welcome new citizens, demonstrating American resiliency and the importance of our independence.

USCIS began to conduct limited naturalization ceremonies in May and began to fully resume ceremonies in early June, after temporarily pausing in-person services to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The ceremonies have been shorter to limit exposure to those in attendance, incorporating social distancing and other safety precautions that protect the health and safety of applicants and USCIS staff. USCIS has naturalized approximately 64,500 new citizens over the past month and anticipates completing nearly all postponed administrative naturalization ceremonies by the end of July.

Guys,

I got my interview notice (Cleveland Office). I filled on 10 Feb and had my biometrics on 2 March. My interview is on 19 August. They asked me to get my Selective Service Registration. I came here as student and while applying my Driving Temporary Permit, I somehow filed for selective service (legally I am not supposed to). Will that be a problem?? Also I got my GC when I was 31 years old so in my application I mentioned Selective service is not applicable. Also, in last 3 years i have been out of USA for 2 months so I should be fine right? (Coz they asked me to get all the passport I have with entry to USA).

Thanks

I don’t know anything about Selective Service Registration, but I do know that the requirement for citizenship is that over the last 2 (or 3, not sure) years you should not have been out of the country for more than 180 days per year. So having been 2 months away is not a problem.

Good luck with your interview! Keep us posted!

I think even as a student you were supposed to register as long as you were in the US from ages 18-26. If you don’t have your letter you can obtain it- my husband had needed proof when he applied for financial aid that he arrived in the US after age 26and did not need to register. Two months out of the US is no problem! Congrats!

Congrats on the interview.

- The 2 months out of USA is not an issue at all. Don't worry about it.

- As for the selective service, IMO you are already out of the staturoty period so it should not matter. Just take the docs they asked for, and rehearse a simple & clear explanation about what happened if they ask about it in the interview.

Good luck.

Hi everyone,

I submitted my N-400 on 2/5/2020 and the Estimated case completion time shown on my case is August,2020 (as you can see on the screenshot), and the Estimated wait time for the next step is 1 DAY (so excited to know what's gonna happen tomorrow😂). Since today is 7/12/2020 and I am still waiting for the interview to be scheduled, I can not imagine how this case can be completed in a month by August 2020. Do you guys know how accurate and meaningful the estimated dates on the screenshot could be? I would be very grateful if I could finish the whole naturalization process by the end of this year considering the surging pandemic in FL. Fingers crossed!  Good luck to everyone of you!

Awesome! Keep us posted. My guess is that your local Field Office is a FL one if reading you correctly.

Your case will be a good datapoint on whether or not the Estimated case completion time and the Estimated wait time (which are supposed to be personalized to each applicant, according to the USCIS) are reliable metrics.

By the way, I saw the question asked in another thread, but no answer so far: what is exactly the difference between the two?

Maybe I'm wrong, but this is how I would assume they each mean:

Estimated case completion time:  the ultimate time by which the whole process has been completed, which is, in the case for a N-400 application, the date of the Oath Ceremony.

Estimated wait time:  the time by which the applicant should hear from USCIS about the next step. So, for a N-400 application submitted and biometrics processed, this would be the time by which the applicant should hear about an interview date.

If someone knowledgeable could chime in and clarify, that would be very appreciated!

Vinnyc
