I had my interview today.

6 civic questions and more questions on N400 form. It was a very friendly atmosphere. If you have your 2019 tax, bring it with you. I didn’t bring mine but it was asked.

At the end, the officer said I was approved and wait for my oath taking schedule in the waiting area.

In 20 mins, I got the schedule of my oath taking for Thursday May 11th ❤️

I am thankful for today and wishing everyone the best of luck 🙏

Hey Guys!!!

Hope everyone is doing fine. I have a question regarding N400 interview.
My current passport expired this week. Do i need to renew it and must have a valid passport for the interview or you guys think i will be fine taking my previous expired passports once i get the date.
Any advice will be highly appreciated!

I'd like to piggyback off of the above question and ask, after getting the US passport if your first passport was expired, could you still board an international flight? My birth country needs visa for Americans and would be fine to show up with expired passport, but I wonder about the airlines rules with this regard and how strict they are.

Thank you for the response. Yes,

I have overseas ID card from my birth country, which is visa free travel on a foreign passport. Its basically a National ID card for overseas citizens. You need to have a valid passport with it, your country of origin one or foreign one

Thank you so much for the reply. Due to covid situation, consulate timings and renewal of passports are much longer these days.
