Hello all!

 

I’m (hopefully) about to finally done my CR1 process and my husband is having a terrible time finding a health insurance that will cover both of us plus our baby due in March that won’t break the bank. He was looking at a gold plan but he found out something about since we both make a certain amount of money, the plan went from costing 280 a month to 700. If anyone has any advice at all, I would be forever grateful!

Unfortunately you're going to find that the higher tier the plan, the more it will cost. Gold and platinum plans cost the most. Silver (they don't even exist in some states) is the least. Remember though that the less money you're paying in, the coverage will likely be worse. $700 is a comparable amount to other markets, it's actually less than what I paid for my gold plan. Health insurance is not cheap.

Technically bronze is the lowest, and yes, some market places don't even have them
