I thought they are reliable? Recommended by VJ.

Are you talking about paid ads for lawyers in the margins on this site?  I have been a member here for 4 years, and I honestly am confused.

She has a nice amount in the bank above 200k and other inheritance. Isn't that reasonable enough? And also we have a prenuptial agreement which i submitted where all these are listed and notarized by a notary.

Did you provide proof of any of this?

At the interview? No. I didn't, at NVC we didn't too. I can send them instead.

Your window for providing all that evidence has closed. Now they're asking for a joint sponsor, and not providing one likely means a denial.

I'm currently stuck

This is why its important to always give them the most up-to-date/best information from the beginning. Your window is closing so you should do whatever you can to find a Joint Sponsor otherwise maybe she will need to move to Nigeria.

IMO because they didnt request your passport back with the response, you are unlikely to the visa before the ban. Even if you mailed the documents today, by the time they receive them, they review and make a decision, to letting you know to send in your passport, to you sending your passport and it reaching the consulate... its going to take more than two weeks.

Better start thinking about plan B

She owns a house, she has money in the bank, more from inheritance and all. How can they conclude without even checking.

Did you submit all of this proof with the application ? It was your responsibility to submit everything. Also 39k is far from being rich. You said you can’t find a joint sponsor then your option to be together would be for her to move to Nigeria.

No we didn't submit the bank statements. Only submitted the tax transcripts and filed affidavit of support which they requested. Filled out how much she earns and that's it. Didn't know that those were required since she made above the 125% of poverty guidelines.

Unfortunately you guys shot yourselves in the foot with this one. I hope you can find a sponsor ASAP otherwise If you want to be together your wife should think of moving to you. No telling how long the ban for Nigeria will be. Good luck.
