Impact of previous denials

My fiancé has four visa denials, three for the tourist and the last on in 12/218 for a student visa, section code 214B, for not having enough ties to return to Colombia. What bearing, if any, do previous denials have on the I129F/K1 process and approval? Do we need to be able to address and explain them? When her and I did the report of birth abroad at the embassy for our son, the interviewer knew about her previous denials and when I asked if we should try again for the tourist visa, her response was “no. Just go for the k1.” 

 

Passing background checks, showing evidence of our relationship, paperwork completed and in order with no additional information is needed, and my ability to support the three of us, is the K1 a pretty sure thing? I just hope they’re not as stringent as the tourist, work, and other types of non immigrant visas.

Should have no impacts unless they misrepresented themselves in any of those applications.  Now that does not mean a CO will not ask about them, but if she was truthful in all her applications, she should be fine.

 

Just out of curiosity, why not do a spousal visa?

If it was all about not having strong enough ties to the homecountry for a non-immigrant visa then this is not a concern for an immigrant visa.

Pretty much none . . . And to what country was the same for us . . .

Mary applies for a visitors visa for Mexico and was denied.  A month later we applied for a Mexican Permanent Resident Visa (by Marriage) - approved in 5 hours.

Mary applies for a visitors visa for US and was denied.  Ended up with a spousal a few months later.
