I was looking at other AOS timelines, and it seems many people got their biometric

appointments within 1 month of their NOA's sent to MSC..it has been 1 month and a half

and we have not heard anything....but we haven't got an RFE either. Can we pretty

much assume since more than a month has gone by that we have everything in order then

as far as not getting RFE'd??

Don't assume anything. Month and a half is not a very long wait. You will probably get your biometrics appointment soon, there is nothing to worry. And I am not sure but I think that people who do get RFE, get it after they receive they biometrics appointment, well at least that was true in my case...

Good luck.

Well this is why I'm worrried....I have NOA1 6 weeks ago..and NO Biometrics appointment or anything..seems like most had their biometric letter 2 to 3 weeks later..and the appointment was

about 1 month after the NOA.....I know 45 days is not long..but when I see almost everyone with

bio appt letter at least within this time frame, it worries me.

If you're really concerned or in a tight spot, there is the possibility of potentially dropping in for a biometrics appointment at your local application service center (ASC). Wednesdays appear to be the proper day for this and you'd need to show up first thing in the morning with your NOAs, marriage certificate, photo ID (IE: passport) and probably a book to read while you wait. Allow everyone with the interviews to go ahead of you and politely ask the officer on duty if you can be scheduled to have your biometrics taken. The onus'll be on you to explain why; sometimes they'll let you do it and some other offices, apparently, have no patience whatsoever for this. :) All depends on your location but the worst thing that could happen is no?

This option is probably more practical if you are near an application support center; a special trip far from home might be less reasonable.

I recieved NOA's for AOS and AP on Feb 10/06 and havent heard anything since from them either. I have been touched 3 times but no further notices or Bio appointment letter so I guess its just a waiting game. on a strange note the last time we were touched March 15 and it was only for my AP and my daughters AOS. My AOS and her AP havnt been touched since Feb 19th try to figure that one out!! Patience is a virtue but its painful.

No worries.

Like Autumnal said, you can still stop by if you haven't heard from them in another month.

Getting Green Card is really a journey of exercising your patience.

Removal of condition on GC

04/04/08 Sent my I-751 to TSC by express mail

04/11/08 Case was transferred to VSC, showed online

05/03/08 Biometric test scheduled

03/29/09 Received ten year green card

We waited almost 2 months for the appointment. Jumped through all of the hoops, then never heard a single word after that for 90+ days. We went down there and without any explanation they printed a temporary work permit for us. No answers or explanations.
