When I called for mine I had to request an emergency info pass. I got a call the next day and they did not even ask anything. The lady on the phone told me that I was eligible anyway and I could go in. a week later I had a stamp in my passport.

just called them, they said they gonna reach me in the next 30 days...

We called this morning for an infopass appointment at the Baltimore, MD office.  We were also told we'd get a call back in 30 days.  The email confirmation added that we'd get a text or email 1-2 business days before the call so we would be expecting it. - Jason

Hey guys. I have been waiting for my I751decision since November 2019. Ombudsman, senator, congressman and immigration attorney did not help. USCIS is ignoring their inquiries. I'm scheduled for an interview since March 2021. If I file Mandamus writ will they make decision on my case without an interview or still schedule one? Thank you

@Rosa Garcia it's very probable they'll want to interview you. Especially when your status says you're scheduled for an interview. I don't think we have a crystal ball to tell what exactly is going to happen unfortunately.

Was this a divorce waiver I-751 case ? The chance for interview is even higher in that instance.

Guys, I sent to USCIS an online inquiry that my i751 is outside of processing times and USCIS sent me a letter stating that:

"On September 8, 2022, we administratively closed your Form I-751 Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxx, and mailed you a closure notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice."

I'm confused why they called I-751 application for naturalization? I have never applied for naturalization nor did I apply for citizenship. I have also never received any notice with instructions and my online USCIS doesn't show any closure. Would USCIS just close my case after 3 years of waiting? I'm stressed out.

What a long wait from i-1751 to N-400. Finally and completely done with Potomac, pending when I pick up my certificate of naturalization. What a journey. Goodluck everyone!!!

Hi Rosa,

sorry I can't be much help, since I have not been in a similar situation myself, but at the very least I think you should file an e-request for a missing notice by mail. Basically tell USCIS what you said in this post, i.e. you have received this confusing letter from USCIS, but not any closure notice and also you have not applied for naturalization. You can do that in the link below

e-Request - Self Service Tools (uscis.gov)

Perhaps you can also call USCIS or get them some help through their chat function on their website, but I have never done that so don't know how that works.

Good luck!

After 3 weeks we got an email from USCIS.  Have others received this response?  If so, what did you do?  We need to get a 551 stamp for travel.  Do we call again?  Wait for them to call us?  Are we still in the queue for an appointment?  Thanks!

"We are contacting you about your pending request to be scheduled for an in-person appointment at a USCIS field office. Unfortunately, there are no available appointments with the field office that you need to visit. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Please note that we process all requests for appointments in the order in which they were received. We ask that you wait for the Contact Center to reach out rather than calling back to check on your request as it may result in longer wait times.

As soon as an appointment becomes available, we will:

  • Send you an email with the date and time if it is determined you are eligible for an appointment; OR
  • Contact you by phone or email to confirm that the appointment is still needed, and if so, schedule as appropriate. "
