POTOMAC (YSC) I-751 Non Transferred Filers ONLY...

Hey guys, I could use some reassurance. Our case was assigned to YSC, as I discovered yesterday. Yippee for the slowest center.

I started delving deep into this forum after I submitted my packet. A lot of folks here submitted 2 years (!!) of bank statements and we only did 3 months. I thought that would be enough. We bought a house in 2021 so I included the joint deed/mortgage docs but I stupidly left out our apartment lease that we were living in beforehand. I also submitted 2019/2020 tax returns, not tax transcripts...

They cashed our check and all that, but this wouldn't be enough to warrant an outright rejection... right? Just an RFE?

How long did other YSC filers take to receive an RFE?

Of course not. Plus the letter doesn't do anything to me as my green card expired and when they were giving me stamps in my passport they took it from me, which they should not...so now only my stamp is valid as I cannot show my letter without the expired green card.

I had read that some may or may not take the expired cards.  The stamp is sufficient.   O hope we have some sort of news, though....  🤞

Hello guys, just got notified my I-751 case status is approved. It was very slow process at Potomac but finally light at the end of the tunnel.

Here is my timeline:

  • USCIS accepted my i-751 on Feb 25 ,2020.
  • On May 13, 2020, biometrics was reused.
  • And today Oct 19, 2021 - new card is produced.

I have not started with N-400 process yet but planning to begin the process when I receive my card in hand.

In my opinion, with a processing time of 23.5 months, all of the submitted documents are becoming irrelevant.  While current at the time of filing, everything will be outdated by the time of processing. It's become a joke.

Have you received your 24 month extension letter?  I have not.

We have not received the 24 mo extension letter either. Called CIS last week and they told me that they would NOT be automatically sending the extension letter, and we had to call back within 60 days of the 18 month extension expiration. This is a change (to me, at least) from 30 days. I confirmed the 60 days with the rep. Will be calling to scheduled stamp appointment in the next week. Wife's extension letter expires Jan 2.

On another note, regarding N-400 (filed in April, 2021) the rep told me that they have "asked for an appointment and are waiting on availability" not sure what this means, if anything....still waiting.
