Absolutely!
On the previous page you mentioned the table of contents to prove to them that we were paying the bills by using a separate bank account (not joint). While i have old bank statements from the joint account and will be sending them, i would like to create a table of contents and attach my own bank statements as well. Question is - would it look similar to something like an Excel spreadsheet? Dates, bills, amounts? If you have an example, please share!

@annab864

We inserted a table on Word and did it that way. Nothing too complicated.

That’s what the RFE also says in case if someone is interested.

not sure what they mean by 2018 tax not showing either of our names or the lease not being signed. So crazy as i was getting copies of our lease from the office directly, they wouldn’t just let the lease be without signatures.

but the craziest part is that i never have received this RFE. Guys, am I screwed? Will my case be denied? Should i hire a lawyer?

@annab864 Ok, this is good. They responded to your inquiry and included the RFE, then. I had not seen this. This is good. Now make sure that you get a reasonable deadline to submit your response.

Yes, this is what was in the e-mail (with the RFE attached):

Our records indicate that we are awaiting your response to a Request for Evidence (RFE) notice that was mailed to your address of record. Your case is currently in suspense or on hold until we receive your response.

We have enclosed a copy of the RFE notice. Please follow the directions on the notice to send the requested information. The dates on the notice cannot be changed. Failure to return the requested information could lead to the denial of your application.

Too bad the deadlines are way off 😑

@annab864, ok, great! I had not seen that previous post with the RFE image. Well, you just have to gather the evidence. I strongly recommend that you list evidence and state in full sentences what each piece of evidence is proof of. I would follow that sample table of contents on the link I shared with you.

For example: do not just say "Lease 2017."

Instead state:

Evidence of Cohabitation

1. Copy of Lease Agreement listing Mary Smith & John Smith as joint tenants at 520 Liberty Ave #525 New York, NY 11055 is evidence of cohabitation between January 2018 and 12/31/2019.

It is important to state exactly what the evidence means. Of course, we all know what a lease is but you have to treat this as a legal procedure; especially at the RFE level and state it. They will not connect the dots for you.

You will be fine. Wish you the best. :)

Their phone system is absolutely insane! To speak to a representative is IMPOSSIBLE!!! I will keep trying today but I submitted an e-request that I didn’t receive my notice, and the response is expected by August 3, which is absolutely insane!!!

any tips how to get to a representative? It eventually just hangs up the call when you keep asking for one.

also, I think i have to send all my evidence with proof that I didn’t receive their notice asap before they respond , because they may deny me faster than notice their fault

For those interested in my crazy situation, i was able to reach a representative who told me that my ‘urgent matter’ will receive a phone call within 20 days. So now i am at a loss, do i wait for that phone call or do i just send the paperwork. Everything is ready to go 🤷‍♀️

Again, your case could be denied if you don'r respond to your RFE. Send a respones, and an explaination ASAP. If your case is denied for not responding you will be in bigger mess. Do whatever you want, but these are my 2 cents so you don't come back asking what to do if they deny your case since it will be a bigger mess.

@annab864 You've done your due diligence. Since you have the RFE, I would just go ahead and respond to it ASAP. Submit it and briefly explain that you did not receive the original RFE

Once you submit it, I would reach out to your US Congressperson and request that they inquire on your behalf. Explain to them that you never received the RFE and that you want to make sure that your late submission does not lead to a denial.

Thanks everyone for your help!
I overnighted the package today and contacted the Congressman as well. Now i wait! I found so much paperwork, I don’t think i even sent that much in my original package back in 2019. I hope it satisfies USCIS .
