My I751 case was finally approved today 🎇😄! Received date is October 28, 2019.

Status was changed to New Card Is Being Produced after having Correspondence Was Received And USCIS Is Reviewing It for a month.

Did not file for citizenship.

Good luck everyone and thanks for the help!

Congrats! See, good things have to those who wait... when it comes to USCIS

It has been 1 year 9 months and 22 days so far for me. received on september 20.

I need to extend my greencard expiration date again, can someone explain how to do that please? thank you

You need to give USCIS a call and set up an infopass appointment to get your extension stamp at the nearest USCIS field office. I was in and out of the place in 30 minutes with my stamp.

I am assuming they never responded to your request about your case being out of normal processing times? I am supposed to receive a response by tomorrow on mine, nothing yet

Yeah, I have no response from them.

I will wait until I hit 22 months, in a week, and I will file another out of normal processing time.

Maybe they got too many of them and then that's why they extended it.

Unbelievable! I feel like they put all divorce waivers in a separate pile until ‘further notice’. This wait is so exhausting!

I don't know about your case but I am pretty sure my ex husband and his salty family reported me as fraud to uscis.

I have restraining order on him so, you know, they wanna return me back like I am an item they bought from a store. They were terrible and the trashiest people I have ever met in my whole life. We are talking about mother in-law calling her 11 years old grand kid "shut your d*ck sucker". and you know what? he wasn't like this when he was in my home country. When I came here the abuse started.

I am thinking that might be the reason why my case is taking too long.

That is absolutely insane! Unfortunately most terrible people see immigration as the weakest point for foreign spouses and that’s the first thing they jump at to hurt a person. I despise people like that. Anything is possible, but if they started an investigation on your case, I believe you would somehow know about it by now. As for my case, we divorced a year into i751 process, meaning that we applied jointly originally. My ex was terrible too and couldn’t keep the finances straight, so we didn’t have strong joint financial evidence  because i was afraid to have a joint bank account with him. We still had one but didn’t use it for awhile. I submitted as much evidence as possible but i think in my case maybe lack of financial evidence is a problem here. But who knows. I will keep you posted!

Im sorry you went through that. I just wanted to say that they devil is in the details and how ypur present your evidence.
even if you do not have a joint bank account, you can show that you used your personal account to pay for certain bills/responsibilities listed at your joint same address. Thats still commingling. The challenge is that you have to explain that to USCIS on a Table of contents and even list dates for each payments.
they wont connect the dots for you. You have to do it. Its also key to send them evidence since tge date of your marriage, especially if you are filing with a divorce waiver.

If you really wanted to, you could send them more evidence.

Thats my humble 2 cents.

Officially 20 months since USCIS received my I-751 petition. Now that I’m once again within their stupid timeline, I wish they’d find my file in the pile.

If it makes you feel any better, today marks my 20th month too with zero updates... I guess two more to go before the increase it to 25 months lol

If that happens, I’m gonna be pissed.

Good luck! I got response from uscis about my service inquiry. They said "Your case is currently under review by an officer. We regret that we are not able to give you a time frame for when we will complete the review of your case."

Thank you so much, that’s very helpful! I didn’t know I could send more evidence as time goes on without an RFE notice! We had a bank account but the statements i sent them were old, like 2017-2018. Praying that’s enough for them, but we’ll have to see! Also, i filed i751 without a lawyer and with very little knowledge. I thought they needed evidence from the time i received the GC, not the time of the marriage. So some of my evidence had a shorter timeline. Hoping for the best outcome!

Hmm. I am not trying to be too optimistic and get our hopes up, but looks like you might be approved next week!
