You need to call USCIS number, state that you want to make an info pass appoitment, talk to a call center worker describe your situation. They will call you back from Washington D.C within 2 days to schedule an appointment. You will be able to choose day and time. Don't go to USCIS without an appoitment. The security guard will not let you in. Thank you

How do you actually get through to a person at USCIS? We have called many times and there is an automated line. No matter what option you pick or what you say, it will not put you through to a representative.

You need to follow an automated line direction. It prompts you to say what you need. I just say the whole sentence that I would like to make an info pass appoitment and it connects me with a live person.

Just got the “new card is being produced” update. I guess it skipped the “case approved” lol. Case was sent September 2019.

Finally after 20 months of waiting. I thought it would be adjudicated together with my N400 but it just got approved with no interview.

How long does it normally take to get the card after that?

When you call, do not press any no or say any thing. That was how I was able to speak with a rep the last time I called USCIS. Hopefully it still works.

Just say "I need to schedule an infoPass appointment" and it'll connect you.

Thank you, we got through.

They refused to make an infopass appt bc it's 5 weeks until my husband's I-751 extension letter expires. It has to be 4 weeks. They were wholly unhelpful, awful and rude.

Good news is Potomac seems to be back on track. They updated processing time to 19.5-20.5 with processing cases as of August 2019, which seem to be to be true-ish as now they pretty much on September based on recent approval. Too slow, but I am glad they are moving and actually working on I-751 now. At least we know we should expect an info pass for another extension, and a timeline to hear back.

I had a similar experience. I called 39 days before my letter expires and they told me to call back in 9 days because it has to be less than 30 days to expiration to schedule the appointment - but just a couple days later my case got approved. So hang in there, they’re finally working on ROC cases again

Hi, are/were you in YSC?

I'm in YSC and my N-400 window is opening up next month. I would rather not interview again for ROC if I can help it (i know it's not guaranteed, but the trend seems to going this way) and so I'm debating whether to just wait for my ROC to be completed first before filing the N-400. I'm also considering that if I file N-400 now, that that will add another year(ish) to my timeline because the ROC decision will be clubbed with it. I'm in DC and N-400 takes a year here. In your case they seemed to process your ROC (no interview) even if you already filed for N-400. So maybe I should just go ahead and file now?

Is the NOA October? I noticed few September this month, but that would be impressive if they are in October

I called today to schedule an info pass, and the process seemed straightforward. I just called the 800#, said infopass, and then agent join in, took my information, and said someone from the scheduling team will contact me within the next 14 days to get schedule an appointment. [My expiration date is within 45 days but my ID expires within a month]

If you are expiring soon, I would recommend call a month in advance

Case received 9/18/19.  Had absolutely no movement since then.  Last week on 5/6 I got text and email saying new card ordered, on 5/7 text and email saying form I-751 was approved, and 5/10 card was mailed.  As a side note, I filed for N-400 September of last year and still have no updates on that
