POTOMAC (YSC) I-751 Non Transferred Filers ONLY...

I filed I751 March 2021, and then my N-400 January 2022 and had my interview today. I got a phone call yesterday afternoon advising to bring my spouse to the N-400 interview, they would be combining my I-751 and N-400 interviews. I passed the interview and the immigration officer stated they will first clear my I-751 today and then approved my N-400 tomorrow after the I-751 has cleared from the system. The phone call yesterday was a slight curve ball, luckily my wife is self employed and could make the interview. I know this thread relates to I-751, but just a heads up if any of you have filed an N-400. I’m just glad it’s over, I’m so tired of visiting the DMV to renew my license. All the best to you all.

Are cases moving along at all at YSC? I submitted a SR 30 days ago and no response. I reached out to the congressman and they got no response. I am 28 months in. Is suing really the only option here? I still have 6 months until I can apply for N-400 and then it could take another 12 or more. Seems outrageous.

If anyone had success getting any sort of response from the USCIS I love to to hear it.

My wife filed just a few weeks after you.  She filed a request at the beginning of October, but no response.  She got a I551 stamp in her passport earlier this month, so there is a little less urgency to get the green card for now.  We have the forms to request an inquiry from our senator, but have decided to wait until after our upcoming overseas travel.  We will be very happy when this waiting on the green card and and citizenship process are over.

Urgency is not an issue here since nothing changes for the applicant in terms of the status until the case in adjudicated. It is mentally exhausting, makes applicants do weird Infopass stuff for stamps, keep going to the DMV every 12 months and such things. It is outrageous. The only thing that the USCIS does really fast is collect checks. After that you are on your owns and at their mercy. Basically there is nothing one can do. Suing them costs 4-10K which most people cannot afford..

No green card after 28 months, but my wife was was scheduled for her citizenship interview on January 6.  The interview notice online doesn't say anything about the green card, but we assume this will be a combined green card and citizenship interview.

Exactly a week ago on 12/12 my status updated with "New card is being produced". On 12/13 the status changed to "Case was approved". I got I-797 approval notice in mail on 12/17.

So far no word about card being mailed/picked up by the USPS. From what I read most people got their card delivered in under 1 week. Could there be any issues with printing the card?

My original Green Card took ~2 weeks to get mailed. I wouldn't worry yet.

Good morning , I’ve been checking this community of immigration since I started my process from adjusting All the way through removing condition  I-751 , I just created this account to give hope to people that are still waiting and for you my brother ..

* I was approved on Monday 12/19/2022

* i filled and send my initial package on September 20 of 2020 , it took me 2yrs and almost 2 months, …

*Documents I send initially , title from both car , insurance both of our names , bills, a condominium we were in the process of buying also a house and taxes  and more basics documents .. I never send them pictures  but is a plus …

* when i first adjusted my status I had an interview and that was the only time I had an interview with them ..

* I request an appointment to get the stamp on my passport 1week before i got approved and after I received my stamp 1weeks later got approved , the uscis website updated my case that I have been approved and new card is being producing …..

They did not asked me for initial evidence , I was waiting and ready for an interview and had a bunch of evidence I was ready, I did not stop living at first was stress but then I stop worrying because I know my marriage was legit and Remember  before someone send them anything   to them they already know , they just are trying to confirm what they know ….

I initially filled jointly but things did not get well and my now  ex ,she decided to left me and did not care anything even though I had 95% of bills , once she left she was as still using my debit card  that’s when I realize she was taking advantage from me , and had somebody else behind my back and  I was strong and was working super hard to keep going and after that happen I level up twice …and I told my self I’m  going to get through this and I just need to remind positive and keep living  , I did not hired any lawyer because I believed in that my case was solid I was ready to go for an interview or sent a ton of evidence but they never ask me for evidence, she has had taken the decision to divorce me even though I did everything to support her ,but at the end of the day I let her go, physiologically she was affecting my mind and at the end, I told her do what you need to do and I know my right and stop trying to intimidate me , and once the divorce was finalized , within two months I send it right away to uscis..

my case was at POTOMAC YSC AND THEY NEVER TRANSFERRED MY PACKAGE, the whole time was there …

this is hope for all of the people that have been waiting …

thanks…
